Hurray for a new school year! I am so excited to be teaching again, and I must say, we have super cute classes this year! With 3 full classes, we are going to have many fun and exciting learning experiences!
Our year started out very relaxed and simple. The idea is to make the first few days fun, stress-free, and successful for each of the children. We learned about the preschool. We learned about how we are each unique and wonderful. And we learned that learning can be fun!
We talked about how each of us is special. Some of us are short, some are tall. Some have red hair, or brown hair, or blond hair. Some are super fast runners, some can draw great pictures, some can read, and some are extra kind. We are each wonderful!
We drew our bodies with chalk and decorated them to show how unique we are!
We played games about shapes and colors. We practiced counting and worked on our ABC's, and we learned to play nicely and share at playtime.
And I must say, this group of 3 year olds are experts at making cheesy faces when I ask them to smile!
We learned our new nursery rhyme, "The Man in the Moon" and the kids had a great time acting it out!
(It is just so fun to be the "Man in the moon" who puts everyone to sleep!)
It was a fantastic first week!
