Face your fears - right? I have to be honest, I do NOT like bugs, but bug week is one of my favorite weeks in preschool! We start the week by learning about crickets. Each class gets a "pet" cricket. They name it, feed it (put grass in the jar) and water it (put drops of water on a cotton ball). Did you know that a cricket can jump 10x its body length?
We learned that there are good bugs, bugs that help us, such as ladybugs, praying mantis, and worms. There are also bad bugs, bugs that are just pests, such as flies and mosquitoes.
We had a great time playing with a bunch of worms!
When we were through with the worms, we took them outside so they can live and help Miss Trudi's garden.
